Signature & Verification Module

Electronic signatures are a unique instrument. They can prove in open, highly insecure networks that digital data are true or non-falsified; they can refer signed data unambiguously to specific individuals.

Respective regulations and comprehensive law has been created on national and international levels. Now high quality electronic signatures can be employed with the same legal binding quality as former handwritten signatures on papers.

Programs involved in electronic signing and verifying must perform trustworthily under all circumstances. The signature processes must obey regulations and standards, verification must accurately be possible at all times.

Sefirot GmbH has taken on that problem and has generated two high quality products for electronic signature and verification: the Signature- & Verification Module plus an SDK for the signature interface.

The Signature- & Verification Module is easy to handle; it is a Smart Card based Software solution for generating and verifying electronic signatures of data in random formats. Signature generation as well as verification are fulfilling PKCS#7 Standards and the ISIS-MTT Specification. Checking of signatures can be done optionally via LDAP or OCSP request but is also possible without online access at directory services.

Customers will receive user friendly i.e. handy, low cost and simultaneously high quality technology. It must provide the customer a non- involved start and stimulate a playful dealing with a technology commonly regarded as complex. The verification module will be downloadable for free from Sefirot's home page such that everybody can comfortably process and verify signed documents.

Versions of signature modules and interfaces: Sefirot products will continuously be updated to keep the on most recent levels; actual relevant regulations and standards like ISIS-MTT or EESSI will always be adhered to.

Signature options:
	Signature of single or several selected files
	Signature covering a larger number of selected files in BatchSign mode; enter PIN once to activate the Smart Card for signature generation
	Signature generation acc. to PKCS#7 / CMSv3 Standard, ISIS-MTT conformant
Verification options:
	Checking against various preset-able profiles, a.o. the ISIS-MTT profile
	Checking against PKCS#7, CMSv3
	Support for LDAP, OCSP requests
	Certificate-, revocation list profiles acc. to X509v1,v2,v3 PKIX, ISIS-MTT

Smart Cards:	all Sefirot supported Smart Cards may be employed together with the Signature-&Verification Module.
